‘New Holland combine harvesters prove themselves in tough conditions.' That is the opinion of South Australian grain farmer from Spalding, Darren Longmire. Darren purchased his CR9070 New Holland Twin Rotor combine from A W Vater & Sons at Saddleworth for the 2008 grain harvest. In his decision to trade up from an opposing brand, Darren sort opinions from other CR owners. He was so impressed with their views and the reports on the performance of the CR Combines from the Kondinin Report, that the decision to purchase a CR was easy.
Darren said ‘ the twin rotor and self levelling shoe resulted in less grain damage, increased capacity and a lot less grain loss in the field. The machine proved itself in tough conditions.' Inside the cab, which is recognised as a ‘;best in class' cab, he found it a quiet and roomy workspace. He added ‘ the CR's monitoring system features a large colour display that is user friendly, allows me to access all information, including yield mapping whilst harvesting.'
Darren concluded by saying we would recommend the New Holland CR harvester to any opposition owners as an upgrade.
Product Manager from New Holland for Combine Harvesters, Tony Peters said ‘the current range of CR9000 Combines comes from a pedigree of twin rotor combines that will be 35 years old in 2010. New Holland produced the first rotary combine in the world in 1975 with the TR70. Size, capacity, technology and comfort have come a long way since then. The New Holland flagship combine harvester in Australia, the CR9080 has a peak power rating of 390kw (523hp). The CR9070 and CR9080 also have the largest cleaning area of any combine sold in Australia.
